Direct Financial support: The EIT Food Start-up Impact Fund
EIT Food can provide direct funding of up to € 300,000 per venture to the most promising companies, whose innovation activities contribute to making the global food system more sustainable, healthy, and trusted
The funding opportunity is open to all EU agri-food startups that have been successfully selected in – or have recently graduated from – our flagship start-up support programmes: Seedbed Incubator, EIT Food Accelerator Network or RisingFoodStars
EIT Food invests through a future equity instrument called SAFE warrant or, under certain conditions, a revenue-based investment scheme

FoodSparks® by PeakBridge a close partnership with EIT Food
FoodSparks® bridges the gap as the first pan-European FoodTech seed fund, managed by PeakBridge, a core EIT Food Partner
FoodSparks® is fully embedded into the EIT Food ecosystem. Investment-ready start-ups supported in EIT Food programmes have direct access to the FoodSparks® investment team
FoodSparks® invests in seed and early-stage start-ups from farm to fork: ingredient innovations, alternative protein technologies, digitalization and food systems 4.0, nutrition and health, alternate farming systems, with ticket sizes of €300.000 – €500.000 in one or multiple tranches, through equity, convertible notes or SAFE warrants
Since it’s formal creation in March 2021, FoodSparks® has already invested in +5 companies (incl. Orsbisk, ImaginDairy, Mediterranean Food Lab, Vanilla Vida and Kern Tec)
