The EIT Food Accelerator Network programme delivered in Bilbao aims to develop the science, technologies and knowledge needed to support a resilient food system through carbon zero farming, sustainable and regenerative agriculture. We accelerate agrifood tech startups, help to validate their technology and offer training, education, coaching, investment opportunities and access to the world’ largest food innovation community.

Bilbao's Achieving Carbon Zero Farming themed EIT Food Accelerator Network programme stimulates innovation, knowledge and the development of new economic, environmental and social approaches. From carbon monitoring tools, precision agriculture to improving livestock breeding, soil health, biodiversity, water quality and nutrient cycling, we support startup and innovations that help to develop more sustainable agricultural practices and food distribution systems.

Join our EIT Food Accelerator Network programme and you will have the opportunity to develop your technologies with leading agricultural companies covering different sectors in Spain and the rest of Europe. Our partners are leaders in dairy production, livestock management, agricultural machinery, sensors, plants, seeds, and inputs, specialising mainly in regenerative agriculture,  organic farming, cereals and high value crops.

"I think that EIT Food Fan is, by far, the BEST acceleration programme, I know. The contents are great, and the collaborators have wide experience, and they are really committed to the programme. I really loved the overall programme.”

Iratxe Perales, Honey AI

"I feel more prepared for the stage we are in now, which is to seek investment and go out into the market. I feel that I am more mature, and I can understand negotiations much better, the value of the company, and the partnership agreement, among other things. The training gave me much more security and I also know where I can look for help for each step. I even now
have a better understanding of the financial model.”

Farayde Matta, Bio2Coat

"The EIT Food Accelerator Network programme gave us the tools to prepare our startup to find an investor and the funds needed to support to next steps.”
