The Kitchen is the innovation hub at Aarhus University. It is also the incubation hub for teams in the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. As a part of the EIT Food we are on a mission to transform Europe’s food system –making it better for people and the planet. We are in charge of the EIT Food Seedbed Incubator: a 6-month program that aims to reshape research discoveries into market-validated business propositions.

At the Kitchen we are helping to develop and commercialize leading–edge ideas -and technology. We are providing a community for entrepreneurial researchers, academics and students with access to our co-working space, providing training (workshops), development programmes and one-on-one business development sessions.
"In 2020, BettaSensing took part in the EIT Food Seedbed program in Aarhus, and this marked the beginning of a new era for the company. Before joining the Seedbed program, we had the idea of creating a spinout company, but the program really pushed us to turn the idea into action."

"It was great to take part in a program that is tailored around bringing business out of academia, as the workshops and expertise could be tailored to these challenges".
